I just solved it! Heinz's last theorem.. you know the one - "Boiling Impairs the Flavour".

Well I can tell you all, it doesn't! Look out for my findings in the next edition of New Scientist

My wife say's that if I re-boil water, it makes the tea taste nasty.

If you are just boiling the water with no tea involved twice, and there is nothing gross on the inside of your kettle, tea pot, whatever, then she is indeed crazy.

Actually, yes, I acn see this having an effect on the taste. It depends on the type of the water you have in the area that you live in. If it is that minging limescaleeee stuff, then if you boil the water, then leave it, then reboil it, the water is going to have more sh1tty limescale deposits in it from the sides of the kettle, I reckon. I'm not entirely sure though, because where I live, the water is nearly as good as bottled 'spring' water.
