Tell me something. Have you ever been in a room with a bunch of people and seen someone across the room who, at that exact moment, at that perfect angle, looked just like you?
Kind of disconcerting, don't you think?
This was played on video at the club Xmas dinner, and he was scarily alike, and thus very similar to me also.
Edit 1: Also, the MD of the company I worked for previously looked alot like me. So much so that 6 months after he left I had one of the newer members of staff approach me for my extension number, then put through a call to me for someone wanting to speak to him. Oh how we laughed.
Edit 2: Are you sure it wasn't a mirror in your story?
Originally posted by rbmorrisI can imagine it would be, but it's never happened to myself before. What has happened though has been that several times I've mistaken complete strangers for people I know, at the right angle, I was careful not to make a fool of myself though.

Originally posted by Bad wolfI have had that happen, too, but more frequently I have mistaken people I know for complete strangers... That can be quite embarrassing. I haven't met myself visually yet, but I can sometimes hear my own voice when my sister speaks (and her husband has mistaken my voice for hers, which she didn't like much 😛).

Originally posted by rbmorrishappened to me one time. we both noticed each other at exactly the same instant. and to make it worse, we were wearing the same outfit. after an awkward moment or two he came over to introduce himself. 'Hi, I'm Brad', he said with oustretched hand. 'No need to introduce yourself, Mr. Pitt', i replied. 'I'm a big fan'. After a few minutes of small talk, he said 'Look, 'I've signed a contract to do yet another of those bloody Ocean movies and, frankly, Clooney's driving me nuts. How'd you like to stand in for me? There's no real acting involved and I'll give you half my paycheck'. And the rest is history...

Originally posted by NordlysThe disturbing thing is that for a brief moment, I recognize my face in someone else and think, "I must be over there". It's like a weird out-of-body experience. It's only for a fraction of a second, but it's a very unsettling feeling.
