Scenario:

You have an EDB file in "Dirty Shutdown", unmounted, no backup, the required logs are not available, eseutil defrag / recover / repair has not worked.

Now I know its possible to access the edb file directly eg list filename.edb...... once open ALT+H, from here you can edit the file so that the database is once again in Clean Shutdown (making it once again useable). This was shown to me by a Microsoft Ranger but I dont know what was edited within this file (more than his jobs worth to tell me and even premier support deny's that this hack exists).

Does anyone know what you actually edit in the EDB file to achieve this?
