@fmf saidThat is a very bad thread. I thumbsdowned it.
I was never a New Romantic to any degree [late 70s-early 90s] despite being around numerous friends who succumbed to the trend.
Technological stages you may have skipped because you weren't in Asia: minidisc players and VCDs.
I've never seen any of the Lord Of The Rings franchise films.
PS. Im also having problems with my girlfriend.
So I have to take it out on somebody.

@fmf saidThe era when bitcoin started to develop. I think it was in the late 1990s, and was still busy focussing of family and property. Some of those guys who infested $500 are millionaires now, but like all fads it fizzled out.

@fmf saidLOL.. could you imagine that. Sitting and waiting in front of the computer. for you and a couple others to post and to hit the redthumbs button. What a life.
I noticed that the thumb down for my OP appeared in less than 15 seconds after I posted it! Someone must be lurking, poised to click with their cursor!
@FMF
Fads or trends that passed you or others by
Because I had no internet and no music magazines to read, I experienced the "Brit Pop" years in the mid-1990s as music only ~ good, bad, indifferent ~ without witnessing any of the hype and with no more information than what was provided by CD covers and booklets.

@fmf saidNow someone will say you are paranoid even though you are telling the truth about that, even I've noticed it going on. Here is one up. 😉

@divegeester saidThat wouldn't take her very long as soon as she has seen the post you get the thumbs down, I've noticed that too. She will as a rule comment right after it, although I probably shouldn't have let that out of the bag, but habits are hard to break. 🙂
This has been observed many many times; sometimes I start a thread just to see how quickly Suzianne thumbs it down.
