I still watch anime once in a while. I started watching the second season of Vinland Saga, an epic set in the time of the Vikings with themes discussing slavery, killing innocent people in order to accomplish a greater goal to protect your own people, and more.

I highly recommend this.

I also watch cartoons with my kids, who love it when I watch it with them. I plan to take my kids to see the Super Mario Bros move, since they absolutely loved the Sonic the Hedgehog flicks.

My elder son loved The Emperor's New Groove.

That had a lot of David Spade's dry humor, which gave it a unique touch.

Patrick Walberton's superbly gormless Kronk as well.

To be fair, I guess not all animated shows are really considered "cartoons". That word has the connotation of being made for children, compared to films like "Heavy Metal".

Cartoons are infantile.
