There ishould be an icon for it, right click on it and select disable/de-activate

What operating system do you have?
Do you have a security centre from a software company? (ie Norton, McAfee, etc.)
Are you 100% sure it is your firewall that is the problem?
If you can answer these, I may be able to help you.
