i wondered what add ons the general forum favour or would recommend? i have the usual ones to do with privacy, adblock plus, better privacy, flashblock, stealther, track me not, also PHZilla which is a rather excellent proxy service, however, here is an excellent little one termed flagfox which displays the national flag of the server that a particular web page is issued from. I find that to my surprise, RHP servers are in the good old U S of A. Anyhow any recommendations are appreciated - kind regards Robbie

Actually, this is a script that runs on another excellent add-on called greasemonkey.
Both are a MUST for RHP.

Ubiquity and Prism are great little add-ons that I'm playing around with now.

now now Deucer, you know how i feel about the Paps, he has been nothing but civil and uses many great words that i have never even heard of. It is an education to be in the mans presence, you guys down here should treat him with respect, especially as he is older and wiser!

Hi Crowely, do you know where you can get a list of the little scripts and what they do for RHP?

I'm using a Core 2 duo e6700 @ 2.67ghz and 2GB RAM. It's not that special.

The other computer in the house has the same CPU but only 500mb RAM and it loads Firefox in about the same amount of time.

What are you using?

That won't help it actually LOAD faster, now will it?

Also, I believe that maxrequests hack is a bit of a myth, as most webservers only allows 4 (or is it 8) connections.

it works my friend, i tried it, about half an hour ago and its awesome. yes you cannot increase the bandwidth allocation from your ISP etc, but this is really noticeable. when i visited RHP the pages were sticky, now they are instant, web pages load much faster. Its either that or my imagination. try it, if it dont work for you then you can always resort back, no harm done.

Some C2D, no idea what, with 4GB DDRII.

$%@$load of add-ons though... It can be somewhat irritating at times, but once it's running it's all good.
