I don't think this site crashed. It's more than likely a problem with your device.
    Hope this helps

Maybe an issue with Flash player. Maybe newer version of FF has Fflash plugin enabled in it, which conlicts with your version of flash already installed? Go to plugins and disable this if you already have Flash installed.

Just a suggestion as most of my bowser problems are caused by Flash. Other than that I'm stumped.

Is Sicilian Sausage's solution doesn't work, try disabling all of your add-ons. If it then starts working, enable them one by one to work out which one is causing the crashes.

Has it happened more than once, or was it all in one time period? I ask because I think it was today that they posted a tweet about the site being down for a little while. If that coincided with your FF update, it could look like cause and effect without actually being cause and effect.

I finally got fed up with having problems every time one of my programs decided it was time to install an update. I went around to most of them including the windows operating system itself and disabled automatic update options wherever possible.

I decided my machine was working just fine with what was currently installed and saw no need to upgrade just because something newer was out there.

I have very few problems now. I may be outdated but I'm fine with that if the current machine is working smoothly for me.

This info may be of little use to any of you, but just thought I would share. 🙂

Nobody should ever follow this advice! New security vulnerabilities in all kinds of software at a staggering rate, and if you don't update, you are leaving yourself and [b]others[\b] wide open for attack. In many cases, this is not at all apparent to you, the user, becuase computer viruses can run in the background and carry out their functions with the user being none the wiser. Your machine may be being used by criminal hacker gangs, to steal money or attack political targets, or it may be quietly logging every keypress and mouse click you make in order for a criminal gang to defraud you or blackmail you at some future date.

Updating software can be a pain but there's really no responsible alternative.

My post wasn't offered as advice and I hope it didn't come across that way. However I do plan to continue operating my computer in this manner until it actually becomes a problem for me.

No. I have been running Firefox for years, and have never had this, or in fact any, problem with Firefox.

I'd look somewhere else for your issue.

I have problems with system running slow using Chrome, but it never crashes. Have you tried Chrome? Or any other different OS? Like Opera, even (Shudder) Internet explorer?

Are you on XP or 7 or 8? Which one?

I have a friend who is like that. Didn't upgrade Firefox until it was up to about 29.0. He had version 15!

I can't bring myself to do that because I'm paranoid about missing out on SPIFFY NEW FEATURES!~
