Just walked out of a bar and got into one with some
drunk dude. Plain idiotic situation. First, why the need
to fight? Second, if there's a real, concrete problem
caused by me, there is nothing which can be solved
without the need to use the fists.
Don't get me wrong, I've gone into a few brawls myself,
and I think they were all justified, but gratuitously going
for the fists seems silly to me.

Drunk people can become many things which they aren't when sober. On the negative side they can become unreasonable and idiotic, which is okay as long as they don't get violent with it. I have always walked away from idiot situations; I don't feel the need to see if I can hit somebody harder than they can hit me - a broken nose is still a broken nose even if the other guy's nose is broken worse than yours. Certain things I would fight for, but it's never come to that yet.
Number of times I have hit somebody - 0
Number of times I have been hit by anybody - 0
I'm 62 years old. I've never needed to throw a punch or needed a gun. Both of these things can change your life. Think about it and cool the hot chemicals in your body.
