Can anyone please tell me what flamewall to use, i need to find one that is secure but won't disconnect me all the time

The best is a router. It usully has a hardware firewall built in and maintains your connection for you. If you have broadband, it's the only to go.

If you're talking about a firewall, Zonealarm's the way to go! I've found the free version quite sufficient, and it's caused no problems with any software whatsoever - I've had it running at least a few years.

Zonealam also prevents programs conecting to the internet without your knowledge, because once installed, the first time you use each program that accesses the internet, it'll ask you whether you want to give permission for that program to do that. So no program can contact the internet without your concent.
