i visit a mystery site where in the past week i notice that as i move from page to page i get an interim white flash ( like an old fashioned flashbulb on a 35mm box camera ) going off. i use ie browser but i tried out firefox and the condition remained the same. any idea how to stop it ( it also does happen on a chess site whose name may not be mentioned ).

You're on a "most wanted list" and while you were out "they" have entered your abode and are "watching" you. Actually you may want to move. Do you hear odd noises at night? Have you had your food taste unusual?... Get out and quick.

Is "mystery site" your way of referring to a site that is ...well full of naked people and the flash you see is the reflection from the flash from your Minolta SRT 101? Erudite enough for ya?

the mystery site is about detective mystery.

i can also assure the world that the flash of brilliance that appears has nothing to do with the mental acumen of mr. stees.

it's Linux Mint's customization.

they add that when you use the google pulldown in their customized (via plugins?) version of firefox.

typing "google.com" in the URL bar takes you to google's noncustomized site.

i downloaded the chinese browser, maxthon. everything works perfectly now.
