I never could understand people whgo say they hate the Patriots. Granted, I'm a bit biased, as they're my team, but what reasons do the Pats give for people not to like them? My reason is simple: I was born and partly raised in Miami and am hence a Dolphins fan. I hate the Bills, I HATE the Jets, and I HATE the freakin Patriots. I've heard fans like you call it jealousy, and I'm not going to say that I don't wish that my team could have won two Superbowls in the last three years (we won back-to-back ones in the 70s, btw!!!), but the simple fact is that I trully believe that my team is better than the Patriots and that our opportunity is coming. I think even you can admit that there are few teams that give you guys a run for your money like my Dolphins, and usually the games you win over us (like most of the games your team wins) are by the skin of your teeth. And don't forget about our bet this season!!! 🙂 GO DOLPHINS!

Anyway, the guy I replied to is obviously a Cowboy fan, so it puzzles me that he hates the Patriots. When has there ever been a rivalry between these two teams? Shouldn't he hate the Redskins and the Giants?
Well I think everyone was sort of pulling for Marino, because everyone really wanted to see him get a ring. Its unfortunate that he never really got a chance, except for the 84 Superbowl but he was only in his 2nd year then. And what you need to understand is that so far, my team has never really been "out of it". Every year we have a chance at a playoff spot by the end of the season, and once we're out I really just watch the playoffs for the joy of the game, and dont bother rooting for either side.
Also, I should add that another little reason I don't like the Patriots is because I bet against them to win the Superbowl last season and when they did I had to shave my head, lol. Its since grown back of course but I had a nice goose-egg atop my head for about a month! lol
