Here's another game that can be played on the forums. The rules are as follows:
1. When posting, each player posts an English word. The word must have either four or five letters, and be one which hasn't already been used. Players are not allowed to make consecutive posts, and if one poster posts a five-letter word, the next poster has to post a four-letter word.
2. The game ends when a player, instead of posting a new word, spots and points out a word going down the page that has already appeared going across the page. By 'a word going down the page' I mean you spell it out by finding a set of consecutive posts and choosing one letter from each in order. The player who does this is the winner.
I'll start us off:
Word

Sword
Toad

Is that what you meant, or did I get it completely wrong?
And I think an answer would be "word".
W from word
O from hello
R from sword
D from toad
But I don't think this counts because the word "Sword" should have been a 4 letter word.
Or I'm just full of it.
Originally posted by NordlysBut then he went on to say "and if one poster posts a five-letter word, the next poster has to post a four-letter word."
Ah, I see. But "sword" should be okay, because he sayed "either four or five letters". So I guess you are the winner! 🙂 Seems a bit too easy, though.
Originally posted by dweezilMostly. Maybe the rule about five-letter words was unnecessary, but the game doesn't work if the words are too long. Perhaps we should stick to four-letter words.
Probably should be 4 letter, then 5 letter than back to 4, etc.
Hey Acolyte, have we got this right yet?
BTW, the rules of the game mean you want to avoid allowing the player after you to win.
Let's start again:
