Ordinarily, I can't abide children in movies (or TV), but this movie left me pleasantly surprised. Those two boys (especially the older one) were terrific.
I figured out the ending about halfway through the movie, but this didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of watching it all unfold.
It's hard to write anything about the movie without spoiling it for those who haven't seen it.
