I loved the house on the rock with the stream in the forest awesome work. Wish more designs were natural instead of the little boxes made of ticky tacky... (song there somewhere)

Originally posted by Ringtailhunteri agree, his work is beautiful, and it seems to have a timeless quality about it,, i mean, if you look at one of his houses, you probably wouldnt think that its 80 years old or whatever. he was a genius, no doubt.
He was an artist. He could use his art to create living space as no one else could. His work is beautiful.

A mate is building a new place on a lake front.. he wanted to put it on top of a giant rock on the hillside next to the shore. They got bored drilling holes in the rock so got a local farmer to drop a few sticks of gelinite in the hole..... boooooom The Rock ended up in the lake with half the hill but he got a good hole for the foundations lol
I always wanted a river swimming hole under a house - esp if I could fish in the lounge!!!

question; What made Frank Lloyd Wright such an incredible architect? was it the "law of change"
It could have been built any time in the 20th Century, or even last week.
My favourite (in my very limited experience) is the Guggenheim museum, as seen in the films "Manhunter" and "Men In Black", probably a good few more too.
