So I get that this is a chess site and not facebook, and I know this thread will be highjacked, but why are people so not interested in being friends on here?

Every guy likes to think he's smarter than the next, they'd rather pull your posts to pieces than stick to topic, this is a chess site with most feeling intellectually superior than posters on a site like ratemypoo.com, but i dare bet their forum is more active.
