This very true . When relationships are breaking apart , notice how often the phrase , "Let's just be friends" is used . So being a friend is often a demotion .
Your friends are also most likely to impose things upon you like helping them move , knocking on YOUR door at 3AM because their old lady threw them out , and expecting xmas and birthday presents .
And as Shavi so astutely points out , your opposite sex friends use the friendship as a reason you can't get naked and freaky with them .

Friendship - a freakin' no-win scam if ever there was one .

Men and women can never be friends. Seeing how long you can get a guy to do stuff for you without sleeping with him is not friendship. And lets face it, who in their right mind would want to hang out with a guy anyway? They're rude, crude and most of them smell funny. 😛
