Funk in my keyboard

I was typing at my computer the other day when I noticed that the spacebar seemed to be jammed. I investigated and found a piece of a chocolate chip wedged between the spacebar and the bottom of the letter "n". Upon further investigating I got an index card and started running it between the various rows of letters and trying to bring the materials to the end where I could attempt to fish them out. Here is what I found: hair (couldn't be mine as I have very little), sesame seeds, crumbs, dry skin, dust, salt, cheeto crumbs, and other unidentifiable stuff. Have others of you had this experience? Please let me know what you find. I'm thinking of getting one of those plastic keyboard covers like they have on the computer at my auto mechanic's shop.

I've had the same keyboard at work for about 10 years now. I'd rather not think about what's inside of it! 😕

I did this same thing only I used a cue tip on my laptop. I also found hair, lint, potato chip crumbs, lots of dust, fingernails, dead skin, string, among other things.
