I have it because they give you a gig free of space. Could careless about status. By the way, I have 10 invitations if anybody wants an account.

I have it, purely because it's easier and quicker than hotmail, you get a gig of space, your e-mails are all stored and searchable by word and I'd rather a company like Google was successful over Microsoft who are purely concerned with making money without regard to their user's real needs.

Same same..
More space, nicer interface, easier to find previous mails and google seems quite an ethical company... and damn cool to work for.. fussball tables and table tennis at work, all we have is a sink and a friggin kettle.

Almost 90% of my friends have their accounts in gmail.

Seems like gmail is going to make a big dent in the market share of yahoo and hotmail.

My Girlfriend just had her Hotmail account upgraded to 250mb, it was completly random, yeah i said big f#%@&ing deal, i got me 1000mb at G Mail, so i think that hotmail may be dishing out some free space to random users to compete with gmail.

Yahoo is doing the same thing but they are not giving you as much as gmail does.
