What would you guess the open to be played by the computer... what is in it's best interest, and what will Gary need to do to beat it.
Will Fritz start with a simple d4, or try something fancy? Will it play Gary's game and go Nf3?

Fritz started with e4, but it wasnt his move. Anson Carter of the NY Rangers made the first move as some sort of "Celebrity" show of, I dont know what. He moved for Fritz.
I wasnt clear if he truly made the move, or was told to move e4.
At any rate, I was able to catch the first hour on tv. now i am just following along on www.clubkasparov.ru

pissed me off. I was enjoying watching them go at it.
A most bizare match. I can't pretend to understand it all but Fritz didn't seem to ever get it's 'head' around what Gary was doing and resigned with only 4 pieces off the board. Could anyone explain it to me? I know why the match was lost but there were many possitional moves that I couldn't see why they were necessary, and obvious attacks that must have been flawed because they were ignored.

ESPN stopped covering the last game (in favour of womens basketball), but that didn't really bother me as I don't get ESPN in Europe in the first place. I don't know if they're covering this one.
