yeah, i'd kind of worked out from watching the simpsons that sports betting is illegal in the states. does this mean all sports betting is illegal in all states? or are there exceptions? how about horse racing? and is there any reasoning behind it? if you tried to ban sports betting in the uk, there'd be blood on the streets...
There is also New Port Grand where they used to play Jai Lai, but now you can only play video slots.
Next state over is a couple Casinos ran by the indians. I'm willing to bet you can bet on anything there also... but not a big gambler myself. We went to the casino one evening, wife and I both won about $80 bucks... and some A drove his truck into us on the ride home totaling my wife's car. Gah, we have not been back yet.
I belive you can also do offshore bets by internet, but for some reason if you use a dial modem they consider the bet to cross state lines and it is not legal... that is something they were talking about on the sports show, but it is not verified.
I don't believe atheletes should be able to bet on their own sports, or any other sports. Bet on your own sport is a big no-no... betting on another sport legally is ok, but I think it should not be.
The problem with Wayne's wife betting is it was illegal, and the people are found to have mob connections. Bad. Plus, we now need to wonder if she's placing bets for Wayne. There going to be very busy trying to figure this all out in the next weeks or months.
