have you ever stopped to ask yourself why programmers put cheats in games in the first place? It's so you struggle through the begining levels and enjoy the game, but once they think you've had the game long enough they release the cheats. All of a sudden you've completed the game, and even playing it on normal mode isn't fun any more because you know what's around every corner. So you go out & buy the next game.
Simple marketing - shorten the lifespan of your product
