Mine too. In fact only just noticed the spark symbol on my cooker!

Mine’s an Indesit but my oven is a Bosch which was very disappointing for the usual excellent German appliances. The screw fell down from the grill which then dropped and stopped working and the written symbols on the stainless steel front seemed to disappear under my dishcloth action.

Are you using a scouring pad as a dishcloth?

Not at all. I was once told that it’s best to clean stainless steel surfaces with baby oil?
