Actually the content in the General forum is not that different from that of the Misc (minus racism, porn and excessively vulgar language). You could compare the styles of a few regulars on General with those on the Misc :-

- mind numbing drivel
- empty rhetoric
- mind boggling
- extremely bored individuals (did someone mention benching? that's a possible solution).
