Ok, I'm not a big fan of George Bush. On the other hand, I wasn't a big fan of John Kerry either. Voting was basically like choosing between the lesser of two evils. I won't even say who I voted for. That's not the point of this thread. The point is this. Has anyone noticed that America seems to have become this hardcore redneck, country music loving land of religeous NASCAR lunatics since Bush has come into power? What's the deal? Does everybody have to drive a freakin' pickup truck these days and have some stupid bumper sticker with a can of Skoal or something that says "Cowboy Up" or , "Calvin" pissing on a Ford logo or something like that? I'm sorry, but this whole hillbilly thing is getting out of control.

It's been like that for years; Hee Haw was one of the most popular shows on TV in its day.

Sucks! And Kerry wasn't much better. At least he could finish a sentence without stopping.

I live in a city, anunciate, smoke(not chew), drive a car(chevy), hate calvin and hobs, love heavy metal and piss on country... and I love NASCAR. Who are you calling a redneck?

Ummmmm....wasn't calling YOU a redneck, but the attitude seems to fit. Do you own (or rent) your trailer?

I was actually trying more for a quick laugh out of you rather than your pathetic sarcasm. If you look hard enough, you'll find attitude just about everywhere. Try it sometime. As far as trailers are concerned, I neither rent nor own. Believe it or now, I don't live in one. Speaking of rednecks, your inappropriate use of paranthesis is a tell tale sign. If you're not sure, locate the nearest mirror and suspicions will be confirmed. Oh, and try this on for size. You might find it useful.

Oh and while you're at it, define "city". Are you one of those sophisticated city slickers from Phoenix, Arizona or something?

I love Calvin and Hobbes, but do I count as redneck, as well eductade German, who can finish a sentence (even in English) without stopping?
An American friend onec pointed me to a website to show ones political affiliation and even if I count conservative in German I ended up almost to the extreme left there...

city: NOUN: 1. A center of population, commerce, and culture; a town of significant size and importance.

slicker: NOUN: 1. A long water-repellant coat usually made of oilskin. b. A raincoat made of a glossy or shiny material, such as plastic or rubber.

As you can clearly see, city slickers do not exist. There is nothing sophisticated about Pheonix, or Arizona. There is nothing sophisticated about America in total. However, unsophisticated and redneck are not synonymous. You however are showing more and more symptoms. What possible purpose does "or something" have at the end of your sentence? The question mark after Arizona would have done your sentence good, choosing to babble on about somethings is not helping your purpose. Nor is it "sophisticated".

Sorry, I went to a much better school than Washington State. Have you always been cared for by the state? Just because some monkey posts something on the internet (and puts a cheesy pencil graphic over it) (((damn parenthesis again!!!))) doesn't make it true. Besides, there are so many grammatical errors in your reply, it doesn't even warrant a response.

Ok, that doesn't even make sense, Jethro.

Indeed it did have grammatical errors, to which I fixed. You'll have to forgive my haste in this matter for I couldn't wait to lash out at you. Where does Washington state come into all this? And who said anything about government stipends? Those along with your mindless babble about trailors are just assumptions(notice the "ass" at the beginning of the word). You say my reply warrants no response yet you still responded. Why do you contradict yourself? Do they teach this at your "much better school"?

You're right it doesn't make sense. Perhaps you will refrain from using the term "city slicker" in the future, Gunther.

Everyone in the world thinks Bush is a not too clever...its amazing that he was been voted in again....he lies (WMD's in Iraq), helps to destroy the earth (Kyoto ignored) and suppports regimes that attack / remove the freedoms their own population (West bank barrier & killing of innocents in the protection of the state)....... yet he is still in power ..... makes you think really.....

Most people know that its not the east or west coast that really support him...its the center...so is it any surprise that you think of hillybillys ?

I believe most of that can be traced back to Blue Collar TV.
