What a lousy game.

We Germans had played better without Ballack then with him.

Looks like England will be playing Ecuador in the last 16 after this win for Germany. Germany have a knack of doing well, and are at home. Could there possibly be a repeat of the '66 final, but this time with a dodgy German goal?

Bad call from the ref. Klose should have got a yellow card for screwing Soblewski. He knew Sobolewski was close and took an unlogic direction where he knew he had to made contact. Germany deserved the win, but the red card was unjust and may have been the reason for the 1-0.

it wasn't FIFA that stopped them it was the groundsman, it would have destroyed the pitch
