It's about time you learnt some more chords, HA.

Seen this one...you hijacked my last song thread with one of your tunes and i saw it there...i uploaded my song to try and get myself over the 10,000 view hurdle (i was at 9970 when i posted it)...i'm nearly there aswell.
My next original song should be up Monday-ish.
Your version of high and dry shows some skills mate...skills i don't have 🙂
Originally posted by huckleberryhoundEasy skillz to learn dude. My dad taught me finger picking when I started playing guitar, after he taught me the basic chords. I was playing streets of london, here comes the sun and blackbird after 6 months of picking a box up. Then I got a distortion pedal and forgot all about the finger picking. I wanted to be Hendrix. I'm not bragging, I'm just trying to tell you how easy it is to play finger picking. Just look at some Youtube tutorials if there is no one to show you. You start off with a basic pattern and build on it.

I have recently started finger style again and don't use a plectrum at all when playing rhythm. I find this gives a richer texture of sounds and better feel of strings. Why put something between you and the instrument you are playing? (Apart from the fact it stops you taking skin off your fingers of course:o)
