If a person needs to wear glasses to see things far away but does not need glasses to see things that are close, can they do the following...?

To clearly see an object far away without their glasses, why can't they just hold a mirror up close to their face with the object's image in the mirror?

The image in the mirror would only be a few centimeters from their eyes so would they be able to see the image clearly without their glasses or would it still be blurry??

On a similar subject, why does the mirror reverse right and left, but NOT up and down?

Trace the light rays from the source of the light to the object to the surface of the mirror to the human eye and you'll have your answer.

Something to do with paralax, I think. If your eyes were side-by-side vertically, instead of horizontally, I think it might flip things upside down in a mirror.

This PROVES Intelligent Design because WTF, upside down mirrors???

I have two coins in my pocket. Their sum is 30 cents. One of them is not a quarter. What is the other one. This is an easy one for Ivan.

For the record, I know about the light going in straight and bouncing back straight... but regardless it still bothers me that left and right get reversed while top and bottom don't.
