    Ya. Why don't we just continue on as we are and maybe in a decade or two we'll be able to say conclusively yes or no.

    That's the problem with tipping points.

    By the time we can say conclusively, it's already too late.

    It's like boiling a frog. Turn the heat too high and the frog jumps out. Turn up the heat slowly and the frog is boiled before he realizes it.
