We have a collection kep ready to go: important papers and family memorabilia plus 2 cat carriers, no clothes or food items.
We live in a high bushfire-risk area.

We don't have one. I do know however where the Folder with the important documents is. If we had afire we could probably stay with Friends who probably would also provide the basice necesseties.

I'm going to steal a shopping cart from Trader Joe's
their carts seem to have better wheels
fill it with essentials
and park it in my living room next to the front door
a go cart is better than a go bag

No go bag, just a folder with everything in it; funeral plan, my will with named executers until my sons are a bit older, a list of instructions etc.
