Standing in line today for world series tickets in Kansas City.
The way they beat the hell out of the monster team Detroit 10-2,
you would figure they are odds on favorites to win it all!!
😉😛
I guess KC might be Detroit's Astros!!

I'm not a Phillies fan and Joe Blanton has an 5 ERA over the last two years he'd be a throw away on your Astros.
I think he would be a # 3 or 4 starter.
I hate Wandy Rodriguez......
You want him????
Thought you were a Phillie fan....

What's wrong with Rodriguez? He's been consistently good for the last four years. I'll take him.
He sucks mightily. If he doesn't have a Hispanic catcher he can't think.
Troule is, we have only had ONE good Hispanic catcher since he has been there, and
that was Pudge Rodriguez.
Pudge got tired of his slop tossing and chewed him out good.
Then he told him never to think on the mound.
Never shake him off either.
That was the best season he ever had too.
Bud Norris is twice the pitcher Wandy is.
So is our new stud in waiting...Jordan Lyles.
So is Brett Myers for that matter.
He is better than JA Happ though....

That's his ERA over the last four seasons, with a 45-42 record in that span. There aren't too many starting pitchers who have done as well. I think most other teams would be glad to have him. It's not like the Astros are so deep in talent that they can afford to turn their noses up at someone of his caliber.

They score very well for him.
He has never been the top performer either.
I just don't like the guy.

Well, the stupid Angels lost again. Looks like the Tigers will open the post-season on the road against New York. I've got tickets to their first home game, on Monday. It'll be the first post-season game I've ever been to.
When they finally made it into the World Series, I got shut out for tickets to game one.
So, because I always swore I would be at game one of the World Series if Houston made it in,
My buddy and I bought tickets from a ticket hub. For a pair of front row tickets in the second level,
we shelled out (ugh) $925.00 EACH.
But, I was there....and the game went down as the longest game one in history.
I got 1.5 hours of sleep that night before I had to go to work.
Even though the Astros lost in a heartbreaker, it was worth being there.
At least you know for the game you see, you won't see CC Sabbathia....(or Justin Verlander).
But you will enjoy the festival atmosphere.
