Beyond all this, the wish to be alone:
However the sky grows dark with invitation-cards
However we follow the printed directions of sex
However the family is photographed under the flag-staff -
Beyond all this, the wish to be alone.

Beneath it all, desire of oblivion runs:
Despite the artful tensions of the calendar,
The life insuran ...[text shortened]... y rites,
The costly aversion of the eyes from death -
Beneath it all, desire of oblivion runs.[/b]
I enjoyed that.

This was an idea a freind sent to me in a pm. Anyone agree?
I think he may have a point.
The point my freind was making was that if people enjoy this poetry drivel, πŸ˜‰ why don't they go to www.poetry.com or somewhere like that instead of polluting this chess forum with it?

I think he may have a good point.

I think it's because we tolerate so much of other people's drivel that it's nice to have someone to share our kind. But you're right -- all sports talk should be done on sports sites, word games on word sites, picnics on ... hmm, not sure where that fits in. We can get rid of debates and spirituality and tell those folks to go to other sites where those conversations belong. Yep, there's great potential in that idea!

This is near enough exactly what I told my friend. Personally I love drivel. πŸ™‚

The spelling is "friend",
Not "freind", as I'm sure you know.
Thanks for listening.

How many if I'd stop following you around? (Well, the truth is I can't stop, because I have never started.)
