He eats coffee grinds..... Holds his eye-lids open with match sticks, and sets an alarm to wake him up every 10 minutes to make chess moves at night.
That is the only way I could figure it out!!!!

I could lend you my dog - Alexandra - for a while, she is excellent at chess (you just have to feed her well, otherwise she starts eating the pieces of the boardππ

Actually, the secret is in the number of games. The cat usually has around 300 games going, so if he only averages two moves a day in each game that is 600 moves/day. So, in theory, he could just log in two ot three times a day and stay at the top of MAP. Just think if every time you logged in, there was +200 games waiting your move.
There is a dangerous downside, when he goes on vacation, he'll TO in 300 games.

Originally posted by saintnicki beat him using only 35 games...game number does not make a difference as you can play a few live games a day when he only makes 2 moves on each of his games a day....i am playing him. Play live games with frequent movers only, that is far better.

It is better for you rating at least (as you can stay better focused)... Although I have to say that Cat has probably so much experience now that he comfortable with 300+ games. I'd dread him playing OTB against me (despite being - ranking wise - better)... I'm sure he would be 1700+ if not 1800+ if he'd played, say 20-40 games ;-)
Either way Shaul, it's a mission if you wanna catch him
Best of luck

However i have another trick up my sleave on how to beat him.....but that would be telling my secret and i may want to use it at a later date π

i shall tell you this.....MAP is a marathon but a sprint for the last 24hrs, if you cannot manage that it is a waste of time. if the cat wants to he can move at 75 moves per hour...i have timed him, but my record is 135moves per hour however...i warn you...you ratingt suffers...check out my profile game graph and notice the slopes of MAP! lol

Zoe, I noticed that when you were on top you only had 30-40 games going. I have to admit that takes much more skill and you must have had to choose your opponents wisely.
So, now we have two proven MAP techniques:
The Cat: as many games as possible, move once in each game every time you log in.
The Cow: Selectively only play live players and keep 30-40 live games going non-stop.
I think the Cat requires less effort as you just log in and click as fast as you can....
