Was anyone watching the snooker last night? How on EARTH did Graham Dott become World Champion?? What is the World coming too ayy?? 🙄🙄

I don't think he hit a break over 70 in all 33 frames!! Talk about falling over the line! (Last frame was taken very well, but you expect the World champion to be able to hit ONE Century, surely??)

Graeme Dott is a lot better than he played last night.
Ebdon seems to drag players down, and Dott was crumbling under the pressure when I switched off at 23:00.
Any idea what time it finished?

12.50 it finished. I gave up at 16-14.

Ebdon deserves respect for grinding out results, but he does get on peoples nerves.

I'm glad Dott won - after the first 3 sessions he deserved it.

I remember the days of Perry Mans, Eddie Charlton and Cliff Thorburn ... make Eddon look like Speedy Gonzalez on amphetamines

He didn't need to score a century to win, so he thought to himself why bother.

Even I could beat Graeme Dott - provided I could stay awake while he was at the table.

Apparantly there was something about the tables being poor, although I don't know if that is true- what was the century count like compared to last year?

Thank God Peter 'watching paint dry' Ebdon lost.
The money they are getting these days[they are ALL millionaires, some multi] there should be a rule forcing them to speed up and at least try to make it entertaining. I saw him beat the Rocket last year - talk about blatant gamesmanship, I think Ronnie fell asleep at one stage.]

Well done Dott. 🙂

they were all complaining about the tables in the early rounds.
the century count was well down.

dott's highest beark was 66 (pretty sure) v Ebdon's 117.

There is one where they have a shot clock, not sure if they should use it in the WC. I am quite happy to watch a good tactical battle.

No, this was the longest, boring-est, awful final in the records - longer than the Thorburn final even.
I would put it the other way round, Ebdon makes even Terry Griffiths look like lightning.

Was also longer than the Steve Davis v Dennis Taylor final that went to the final frame and final black.

It was the longest final yes, but not the longest game.
Think that was Thorburn vs. Griffiths, the one where Thorburn got the 147.
And that's only at the World Championship.

Anyway, things have moved on, like in cricket. Just because it was slow in the past doesn't mean it's okay to play like that now.
