When Paul Deakon's nose got split & spread across his face (a blatant high tackle from Nigel Vagana), he was obviously replaced. That's when the Kiwis needed to dig in deep & get some points on the board.

It now rests on this weekend's 2nd game between Aussie and GB in Hull. Best hope for the KIWIS is a kangaroo victory which would set up an Aussie vs KIWI final.
However, a British win would raise various possibilities. Victory by 1pt still wouldn't earn the Brits a place in the final while a win by 3 points would eliminate the KIWIS.
On the other hand, success for the home side by 9 pts or more would set up a GB vs KIWI final.
So Aussie to win, or Britain by 9+
