I definetly agree. Their new album is too overplayed. Billy Talent is good, in my opinion. And, some other bands that follow that type of music. 😀

Green Day's good. Although I like their older stuff more, like Brain Stew, Basket Case, and Welcome to Paradise. The songs off their new album get old quickly, the older stuff doesn't.
I meant to reply to this post, in my previous post.

No, I think you meant to say LED ZEPPELIN was/is the greatest!!!! Green Day is another name for the day the whole world farts at the same time and the atmosphere takes on the appearance of, well, a "Green Day". Is that the "bomb" you were referring to?.....I'll make sure my respirator is in good working order when Billy Joe Armstrong gives the order.....
I think he meant that their last album should have BOMBED because it is crap.

Yes, but was he smiling or was he yawning when he made that remark?
I'm getting mixed signals here...

not to act cool or anything, but i saw green day numerous times before they were on a major label. they were on lookout records out of berkeley, ca. in the very early 90s. saw them in my friend's basement. i remember when their first 7" record "1000 hours" came out. the east bay had this really great pop punk scene back then. if you want a sample of some of the greatness, check out:

op ivy
nuisance
jawbreaker (all-time favorite band)
so many others

ah, those WERE the days.
