There are a couple yeah. Blair was supposed to raise it on the Bush visit but it seems it slipped his mind.

Yes civilians got killed during our war in Iraq but it wasnt intentional
yes, of course you are right - when military comanders chose to drop a bomb with a 400 foot blast radius on a military target that is surrounded by civilian houses they don't intend to kill civilians - it just happens 'by accident'.

Your views line up exactly with those who do the bombing - all enemies are the same and deserve what they get. How do you think people outside the US view your arrogance? Your country has lost much of the sympathy for the 9 11 bombing and is becoming isolated.

You may think it doesn't matter - but the only way to beat terrorism is by co-operation. Bombs won't do it.
Cooperation??? So, if someone is intent on breaking into your home and trying to harm your family, are you going to cooperate? Didn't Prime Minister Chamberlain and the French "cooperate" with Hitler?...Please explain how YOU would cooperate with the scumbags...I'm interested...🙄😲

That's beside the point. The point IS...that England and France could have stopped Hitler in the late 20s to early 30s before he became too powerful. Hitler was ignoring mandates left and right, much like Hussein did, and could have been stooped if acted on early...

Honest question - which mandates had Hussein ignored? He was an evil sod, but the only mandate I heard was to disarm his WMD systems, something it now appears he had done.

next question - how does these ignored mandares differ from the mandates that which, say, Isreal is ignoring?

You're right that cooperation or negotiation with Al-Queda itself is pointless, but what we can do is avoid acts of aggresion and crude diplomacy which aggravate the rest of the muslim world and make it much easier for the terrorists to recruit to their cause. Going back to the Hitler analogy, cooperating with Hitler was always going to be a bad idea, but hammering Germany with reparations made it much easier for him to hold Germany in thrall.

The latest Al-Queda statement, following the bombings in Istanbul, gloated that the US and its allies had fallen into a trap by attacking Iraq. While that's very much the terrorists' spin on history, it's probably true that they were rubbing their hands in glee at the thought of all those new Iraqi recruits.

It's worth remembering that there was no evidence at all of an Iraqi link to Al-Queda before the war, but it certainly seems that the terrorists are operating in Iraq now.

How would you tackle the problem of terrorism and the problem of how to reach peace in the Middle East ? What would yóur guidelines be in manoeuvering towards a solution ?
