fender make good amps!

and it's marshall...

also, that's like saying that only fender and gibson make good guitars, and then someone else would bring up ibanez and that'd be the end of the conversation. but it's not, there are plenty of really good makes of guitar-PRS, jackson, BCRich etc

I have a Fender M10 with an Ibanez Roadstar series II
and a wee Marshall for my acoustic Roundback Orbit.
Very very happy with sounds and didn't cost the earth.
Manages most hall size & pubs venues easily.

Vox powered the beatles through most of the sixties.. nice gear.

I play an Epiphone SG Les Paul Custom with triple humbuckers and this is the amp of choice for me:

http://www.guitarsuperstore.com/product.asp?IntID=349&strManufacturer=Marshall%20JCM2000%20DSL100

I cannot describe the simply gorgeous sound it makes nor the level of tone options you can generate. Unfortunately I am only able to play it when I go to the practice studio as I can't afford one myself πŸ™

I like non showy stuff that's reliable and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I will provide the tone, if it's at all a half-ways decent amp.
My money's on Peavey; they have the best customer support. They've mailed me little things like neck adjustment tools and a replacement battery clip free of charge.
Friendly people on the 'net and the phone too.

PS The Bandit is a good all around amp.

Ugg, I own a Bandit and I hate it, as soon as I can afford another amp it's going on ebay.

Really?
I played a Les Paul thru one and it wasn't too bad for that "Mountain" thing; sounded alright with a chicken-pickin' Tele too.
Then again, I'm weird, I play a modded Strat thru a little bass amp and get SRV tones, makes me laugh because it looks stoopid and sounds cool.

Has anyone tried the Fender Blues Junior? It loooks pretty coool. It is a small, practice amp sized amp, with tubes in it. Two shops in Manchester City Centre want £360 for it, but I have spotted it online for £220. The only gripe I have with it, is that it doesn't have a footswitch facility.
