Does anybody have this great program? I sadly lost the installation file...
I really love playing around with the settings, but I can only save stuff up to 24 bars, so the trail version is no good for me. Is anybody else a big fan of this program?

They also have lots of tabs!

what kind of mic-midi interface are you using?
how much memory/Ghz does your computer have?
depending on how serious you want to get, i'd reccomend Pro Tools or Cubase.
So no, I'm not very serious 😉
I have no idea about the interface, but I have 1042 MB RAM and I can't find the Ghz thingy...

are you plugging a microphone into your computer?
Originally posted by Darth SpongeI think it's a voice modulating program. SOmething that smoothes out the crackles and adds lovely warm tones. Don't quote me on that though. 🙂

Guitar pro is a program which lets you work on your skills. Mainly guitar, but whatever is written in the tab you download too (g. voice, bass, drums etc). It shows you the notes and all the stuff, basically how to play a certain song. There's a free demo version on the net, and you can download tabs at www.mysongbook.com
try it out, I really like it.

No.

Originally posted by StarrmanI used to play by ear all the time, that is, until I discovered the Internet, and I got kind of lazy. I now use a combination of googling the guitar tab for the piece I wish to learn and playing by ear. I tend to figure out the first few notes by using tab, then suss the rest out by ear. It's generally the first part I struggle with, trying to find out which part of the neck that the piece is played on. Sometimes in the past, I've learnt solos in the wrong inflection, and this can make life very tricky.
To be honest, if you really want to work on your skills, then work the tunes out yourself. The more you do this the better you will get at hearing what's going on and intuitively understanding how to replicate it with a guitar. I cannot reccommend serious personal practice enough.
