We also consider Easter to Easter Sunday, Good Friday is called just that, the day Jesus dies on the cross. Easter Sunday he arises again according to the bible!
Then we have what is called lent which we fast from something we like for 40 days before Easter Sunday. That is the reason for all the Easter treats in my opinion is because of sacrifice giving up something you like to eat for 40 days.
Now you have the real story, well the Catholic version anyways!!! đ đ
