@very-rusty saidIs this you being vain or humble? 😉 😛
Sir, There is only one God, many take different roads to get there. Now this is providing there is even one God, I often wonder about that myself.
In trying times I find a prayer or two sometimes even saying the rosary very relaxing. perhaps something else does it for you. Of course being brought up Roman Catholic is similar to a cult really, we have over 1 billion practicing Roman Catholics.
Being Human is sometimes being vain in my humble opinion

@the-gravedigger saidSir, You can read the words and take from it what you think. I am not going to change your mind either way.

@very-rusty saidFaith is belief without evidence.
I don't believe I've heard truer words coming from you in a while anyways. I completely agree with you, we will know for sure when our bodies are dead if we have soul or if we move on to another plane. So much is unknown, I've questioned Priests who had no answers. Just we must believe it is so was all I could get.

Either you have it or you don't.

What is Easter? Easter is one of the principal holidays, or feasts, of Christianity. It marks the Resurrection of Jesus three days after his death by crucifixion. For many Christian churches, Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence.

@torunn saidtorunn,
Faith is personal and we may feel the need to believe. Can also be a family tradition, like going to church.
I do believe what someone believes for the most part is what they were taught as children growing up. Those belief's can change as one becomes older and can think for themselves.
Faith is a big part and as was said one either has it or doesn't. I do pray as I've said but it is more of a calming and relaxing for me in troubled times.

@very-rusty saidAnd you do of course pray for the Ghost every evening?

@suzianne saidsuzianne,
It certainly isn't berating other posters endlessly.
Nice to see at least one person can see what is going on and not afraid to speak their mind. 🙂 I could see if it was just one person but it is many people who this person berates on a daily basis. Perhaps TRIES to berate would have been better put.

@congruent saidYes, I know the whole story as I've mentioned I was brought up Roman Catholic and actually did many Sunday Services as an alter boy. Hard to picture but true! 🙂

@ghost-of-a-duke saidMy new buddy, you don't need as many prayers as some do, not that will help them to be better people. 🙂
And you do of course pray for the Ghost every evening?

@congruent saidIt also pre-dated christianity and was a pagan festival it praises the female goddess of fertility "ostera" or"eostra" the word"easter"finds its etymology from the goddess name.
