Lol, no i don't own a kilt. Plus even if I did own a real kilt (a plaid) i wouldn't know how
to fold and wear it. ahhh the shame of it, nae kilt and rubbish whiskey!

Is this like St. Paddies day without the parades, dressing up and everyone enjoying themselves? In other words, my vision is old men sitting drinking and throwing the empty bottles at the TV and telling anyone who will listen about stories of 'their day'?

No its nowhere near St Paddies day, in fact, i didn't even know it was St Andrews day.
Its the Calvinist influence what's done it, 'drinking and dancing, its the ruination of
Scotland!'. Pair of stern faced old crofters looking at you!

LOL, there are kilts and there are kilts, mostly the things one sees are not kilts, they
are a tailored kind of kilt probably invented by some Victorian dude in London in 1867,
a proper plaid is wrapped around the body and thrown over the shoulder and belted
around the waist, its meant for sleeping in while out on the heather cattle rustling or for
making forays into England to steal their women and precious metals 😛 , but yes,
some dudes I know are meticulous!

I walked out of the cinema after they tied his wife to a post and slit her throat, enough
gratuitous violence for me thanks and to this day I still have not watched it. But yes, I
suspect the producers went to some lengths to make it appear authentic.
