They would lose a lot in my opinion and wouldn't be in Nato, if attacked they wouldn't be under NATO'S protections, I believe they would lose a lot more than they will gain. I don't think breaking away from Canada and splitting the country is smart.

I think this move all stems from the FLQ back in the 70's, Trudeau's Father then P.M. threatened to call in the National Guard. A reporter asked would you really do that? "Trudeau replied: just watch me"!
