I posted this in another thread, but, think it has potential. Having a social conscience is overated.
"We could harvest body parts from casualties and prisoners in Iraq and Afganistan. Even live prisoners could contribute one kidney, one lung, bone marrow, skin grafts, an eye, blood. Not to mention that you could test new drugs on them, radiation treatment, and new medical techniques.
For that matter we could do that locally and start an aggressive program of capital punishment and harvest organs wholesale. Perhaps starting with drunk drivers that kill people on the road. Guilt is immediately evident and indisputable. No trial, no improsonment, do not pass go, zap them with a taser, sedate them, followed by a trip to the hospital. You could keep the sedated until you have donor matches and remove their organs in a marathon transplant operation.
Organs could be auctioned to the highest bidder, you'd have to pay for the cost of logistics and doctors/medical staff somehow. Plus you don't really want the poor to live longer. The poor and the stupid are already over breeding anyway. In fact, if demand becomes high enough, the poor would be a great source for organs. They can't afford lawyers and who's really going to care if they lose one of their 10+ children, they're just going to have more anyway. You could even impregnate the poor with your own genetic material to maximize the chance that you'll have a compatible organ donor when you need it.
You can always find the silver lining if you look hard enough."
We could even harvest the organs of RHP's that drop below an 1100 rating and hence strengthen the herd.

Unfortunately, this approach will increase the number of elderly people we have to deal with. A secondary part of my plan will be to put the old and infirm that cannot pay for their upkeep into labor camps, building roads, picking fruit, maintaining parks, landmine removal, luggage handling, septic tank cleaning, collecting garbage, advertising for political campaigns, those effected by dementia could even hold various political posts and staff telemarketing jobs. In return, they get an acceptable degree of care, somewhere to live and a decent burial... and by decent burial I mean feed them to the pigs that will be kept to generate methane for heating and cooking.
Yes, I know, I'm a visionary. Thank you.
Originally posted by StarrmanThat's a great idea, you can be my Chief of Resource Logistics. Unfortunately, without proper marketing and packaging, this may be unpalatable to some. You could do a market study trying to sell bullion cubes made from the elderly. Personally, I think you'll get the most bang for your buck my processing the pig crap for methane and using the residue for fertilizer to grow grain and vegetables for the needy.
Why stop there? Solve the world's food problems by processing the dead in big factories and sending the packaged meat out to people in need.
Originally posted by NyxieYou have a good point, you can be my General Manager of Organ Acquisition. You would have to take a stategic approach to harvesting the rich and stealing... um, redistributing their wealth. The health nuts you could chain to treadmills to generate power, keep them healthy with elderly food byproducts and feed them to the pigs as the expire. Infomercial hosts could be put into key political posts as pawns while we build or empire. The poor would have to be chemicaly sterilized, of course, to prevent an ultimate overthrow... perhaps a water supply additive would be easiest.
I think harvesting poor people is a bad idea. I think harvesting the rich is a far better idea. Also healthnuts and infomercial hosts would be great.
