I have held a chimpanzee. A young one. The difference between holding a chimp and a child is that the chimp feels loose--the long arms--and hairy of course.
Supposedly an adult chimp has the same intelligence as a 5-year-old child, but I've seen adults whom a 5-year-old would put to shame, so these comparisons are worthless, really, aren't they?
