And made money from it? I am thinking about it but I know I am not going to. I don't have the patience or knowledge. More importantly I'm not interesting enough or funny enough. I was just looking at Google adwords/adsense and thought they seemed a good idea. Oh and I know there are other reasons to make a website I just thought this almost as a bonus/extra. I do have the time really but I waste it anyway I am starting to ramble so I had better click post soon or people will just not bother to read this.

Sell your dancing avatar. I'd pay to have one. Go for it Will - don't let this negative lot get you down

i dont know if it counts but i work for a company which run/create websites and I have done a couple in my spare time. I can easily point you in the direction of a few tools which make creating a site almost as simple as writing a word document.

But! you gonna have to come up with a brilliant idea thats going to bring in a hell of a lot of visitors to make anything decent out the adwords.

Don't do it with the intention of making money unless you have a great idea and money to burn on marketing.

Best to just create a site about something you enjoy, get some ads on it, and see what happens.

One thing that is worth mentioning though, a good personal site makes a great reference site when getting work - I have won plenty of work on the strength of this site over the years.

-Russ

Oh, and this site clocks up an insane number of hits, and ad revenue is still miserable.

replying in another language just confuses me even more dude lol

its hard enough that i struggle to see sarcasm when its typed out in front of me lol 😞 .... especially when its "of course, no". is it "of course" or "no"? 😕

my head is starting to hurt trying to figure out if you really need an answer to your question or not

so just to be sure - yes Russ is the code monkey for this fantastic site
