Have you ever posted a Private Game Note in the MESSAGE your OPPONENT area? OMG, i do this at least once a game! I have put my foot in my mouth more times than i can spare!

I have yet to do that but I have thanked somebody for the game only to find it wasn't check mate after all.😳

No, I haven't done that, but can see how it can happen. Perhaps you should refrain from posting notes until the game is clearly won or lost.

Don't worry dave. It is very common. I don't post notes, because I have no idea what I am doing, but I have been handed two games on the same day by different people who have posted notes in the message box accidentally. :-)

heh, that's what i'm worried about... handing over games... i'm not a strong player yet.. and i don't need to be handing over games.

I do that continually. In fact, I've committed just about every message box gaffe known to man. I've posted sneaky tactical traps in the message box, I've incorrectly announced mates...

yeah-i now add in a "i think" to the end, which might actually embarras them as they've just been beaten by some guy that's not sure if it's mate or not...😛

Yes I have. And what was even more embarrasing was that is wasn't a good combination at all. Now I just never use the notebook anymore. It's quite safe that way, I can tell you. 😀

Well, I only have 10 to 20 games going on at any one time... and I find myself forgetting my combos i've planned. I can only imagine those with more than 50 active games!

Funny story - I was playing someone and they were really egging at me, you know stuff like "we played before and you made the same stupid mistakes"... Hey, I play for fun! Anyway, I made a note for myself (what I thought was myself) saying "keep this joker in the corner"...turns out I had put it in messages.... thing is - it shut the guy up!
