Ale in England is just as watery as some of that garbage American beer. Worse than that, it's also warm and flat.

I agree with you though, there are a lot of American beers that are delicious.

i never drunk any of the small american beers (found a pear cider that i liked and stuck with that) but i've heard there is a few good ones... kind of similar to english ale, there's a lot of little independent places making there own stuff that's acceptable.

English Ale surprised me when I had it. Some were quite tasty, others were absolutely horrid. But I had no idea that it was served so warm and flat out of the keg. It took a bit for me to get used to. I did warm up to it in the end though.
