I'm seriously thinking about traveling to Norway to work. I don't know anyone there, or anything about the country, i also don't know how to speak Norwegian! But hey, so what!

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has done this trip before (and worked..)? I realise it is unlikely, but if you have, perhaps you'd like a game and a chat? 🙂

James 😀

Nice people, highest standard of living in the world and economically competent enough to cope in Europe without being in the EU. Clean, things work, everybody speaks English (pretty much) and people know how to have fun!

I'd say go!

Why Norway..? if for no particular reason, then there hell of a lot nicer places (and cheaper) if you fancied a changeof scenery.

But Nordlys is there, or was... giver her a pm.

Yeh, that's pretty much my impression of the place too. I really want to wander out into the hills over there, apparently it's just stunning. 🙂

I don't really know why. The idea has been growing for months now and i've finally decided i might as well. I've always wanted to work abroad and i've never been to anywhere in scandinavia. Norway seems like a good place to start. 🙂

Well, i was a Web developer not so long ago. I've been doing all sorts of things for the last year or so. I don't have anything holding me in London. Not really bothered what i do over there, getting by is fine as long as i get a change of scenery.

I've already been to Newcastle, not much wilderness to speak of, plenty of wildlife though (sorry..) 😛

Are you planning a Shav Saga, except with vastly more expensive beer?

I'd love to visit!! Your government wouldn't let me work though. In fact, they might not even let me enter the country, got into a spot of bother a few years back over some herbal remedies. I hear your boys don't take kindly to that sort of thing. 🙁

Yes, this country isn't big on herbs. They prefer white powdery substances or needles w/rubber tubing 😉. Just get some of that and offer it to them and you're home free 😉.

I met a really cool guy a few years back. He got busted for smoking a joint over in the States somewhere. He was arrested and forced to provide a urine sample every 2 weeks, for 2 YEARS!! About 18 months in he got drunk at a party and took a few puffs. The test came up positive and he got sent to BOOT CAMP for 8 weeks. As soon as they let him out he booked a flight to England and ended up on my couch (somehow??). Needless to say i arranged a little something to chill him out over the whole ordeal. 😉
