Damn! :'(
it's really pretty funny when you think about it, the passionate romantic love. because if it really was the burning furnace of maddening desire it's always described as, the logical conclusion would be a messy murder spree ending in double suicide.
same thing with the concept of there being 'the one meant for you', which should logically transcend all obstacles, or it wouldn't be 'the one'. pedophilia, bestiality, necrophilia, you name it, it would all be 'okay' because she/he/it 'is the one'.
not to mention the religious love, which also has a history of murders, mass suicides, wars and torture at a massive scale.
real love is scary. it makes my head hurt. I prefer the ordinary kind, with couches, chips, doing dishes and watching telly.

It made me think that issues like drugs, or having a mistress, or procreating... just make life complicated, regardless of its state as morally good or bad.
It smells like common sense, I guess.

On a side note, I'm too lazy for messy, vibrant, and passionate love. There was a time, though, when I was young... uhu, uhu.

of course, that kind of a 'revelation' comes naturally after living a youth of complicate, complicate, complicate. when we were twenty, that was fine. but as we get middleaged, yeah, the simple approach seems more and more desirable. 🙂

yeah, simplify, simplify, simplify! 🙂

Originally posted by Blackampbeing with women is not the problem. being with crazy women sometimes is, but not necessarily. but when you're with a crazy woman, and have a couple of others on the side, and do a lot of drugs, you're definitely looking for every complication you get.
